How Lessons and Quizzes Work
Video Lessons
Every lesson in The Stocks Room is delivered through high-quality video content. Each video is between 10 and 20 minutes long, covering a single concept in depth. This focused approach ensures you can learn in manageable sessions without feeling overwhelmed.
What to Expect from Each Lesson
- Clear explanations: Concepts are explained in plain language with visual aids, charts, and real-world examples.
- Screen recordings: For platform-specific tutorials, you will see exactly what the instructor sees as they walk through charts, indicators, and trading tools.
- Key takeaways: Each lesson ends with a summary of the main points, so you know exactly what to remember.
- Downloadable notes: PDF summaries are available for select lessons, useful for reviewing concepts offline.
Quizzes
After each section (a group of related lessons), you will encounter a quiz. Quizzes serve two purposes: they reinforce what you have learned and they act as a gateway to the next section. You must achieve a passing score to unlock subsequent content.
Quiz Format
- Multiple choice and true/false questions
- Typically 8-12 questions per quiz
- Passing score is 70% or higher
- Unlimited retakes -no penalty for trying again
What If I Fail a Quiz?
If you do not pass, the system will show you which questions you got wrong and provide hints about the correct answers. We recommend reviewing the relevant lesson videos before retaking the quiz. Most students pass on the first or second attempt.
Why We Require Quizzes: We have found that students who are required to demonstrate understanding at each stage perform significantly better on the Trading Challenge than those who passively watch videos. Quizzes keep you engaged and accountable.
