Your First Week Roadmap
Make the Most of Your First 7 Days
Your first week on The Stocks Room sets the foundation for everything that follows. We have mapped out a day-by-day plan to help you build momentum and get the most from the platform right away.
Day 1: Set Up & Explore
Complete your profile, choose your plan, and spend 15-20 minutes exploring the dashboard. Familiarize yourself with the sidebar navigation, the progress tracker, and where to find your courses. Watch the welcome video on your dashboard -it gives a concise overview of the entire program.
Day 2: Start Module 1
Begin with Module 1: Market Foundations. This module covers the basics of how the stock market works, key terminology, and the different types of securities. Watch the first 2-3 video lessons and take notes.
Day 3: Continue Module 1 & Take Your First Quiz
Finish the remaining lessons in Module 1 and attempt the section quiz. Do not worry if you do not score perfectly on your first try -quizzes can be retaken. The goal is to solidify your understanding of the fundamentals.
Day 4: Begin Module 2
Move into Module 2: Reading Charts & Technical Analysis. This module introduces you to candlestick charts, support and resistance levels, and basic indicators. These skills are foundational for the Trading Challenge later on.
Day 5: Explore the Paper Trading Simulator
If you are on the Pro plan or the Live Trading Desk, take some time to open the Paper Trading Simulator. You do not need to place trades yet -just explore the interface, learn how to read the order book, and practice navigating the tools. This familiarity will pay off later.
Day 6-7: Review & Reflect
Use the weekend to review what you have learned. Revisit any lessons that felt challenging, retake quizzes to improve your scores, and check your progress dashboard. Set a goal for the following week -aim to complete at least one full module per week to stay on track.
Pro Tip: Consistency beats intensity. Spending 30-45 minutes a day is far more effective than cramming several hours in one sitting. The program is self-paced for a reason -use that flexibility wisely.
